12 Months. 12 Testimonies

It is my prayer you are doing well. I had a great year 2015 and i am happy to be alive and about to see a new year. God has been faithful no wonder i thought to write my testimonies from the year. I am narrowing them down to 12 (do it for the gram blog) but they are way more.
1. January 10th had great news about my little sister's A level results. That girl made us proud and I am grateful for her  success after those long nights of studying and no sleep.

2. February the 14th is and was a great day..quite cliche since it's Valentines day but it is much more special to me #double package

3. This is quite personal and you might be asking why did i then include it if i was not going to write more. Do not judge me, it's still a fresh wound but i am grateful that although  March 26th 2013 was unbearable,  i am getting used to the new situation and trusting God more.

4. I love going to church and i am proud to say the church i go to uplifts my spirit each Sunday. The pastors are God given. What better testimony!

5. May was incredible, i do not remember everything vividly but the happiness is beyond compare.

6. June the 17th is the youngest in my family's birthday. She is a source of joy and i thank God for blessing her with more years.

7. Woop woop, July is packed with birthdays. My two sisters celebrated their birthdays on the 23rd and the 27th, how great is our God! A testimony of life, life in abundance.

8. August 2nd marks her royal majesty the Queen 's birthday! Yes me. I testify the goodness of God. Oh did i tell you a surprise birthday dinner was organized for me? Thanks A and my lovely friends.
Still in August , the Queen mother celebrated her birthday. I am speechless when it comes to my mum, she is just blessed.

9. I started this blog on August 4 2015. It has been 4 great , experimental and learning months.

10.My dear beloved A is born on the 15th. More blessings. More years. More success

11. Guess who is done with University examinations forever until she starts her MBA? Meeeeee. Ebenezer !!!

12. My nephew Jr celebrates his 4th birthday on the 28th, Our almost-Christmas baby. Ts the season to be jolly and my dear friend Adel celebrates her 21st! On the same jolly note, a great year has come and is about to end. I lived, i loved, i was here. There were ups and downs but God's faithfulness prevails in my life. I can not wait to see what 2016 has.
I challenge everyone to make a list or verbalize their 12 testimonies. Count your blessings, name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord has done! Happy and blessed 2016!

I feel lace is the most appropriate for any festivities. This lacey number has a green lining which perfects the whole look because i love me some green and a perfect outfit to me has green.[tongue twisting intended] The t-strap heels are my favorites because they put the outfit on a whole new level with their detail. Happy festive season, enjoy responsibly!

Hey there! Season's Greetings. Once we start seeing Christmas decorations up in malls and stores, it's a clear sign the year is coming to an end and a new, beautiful, fruitful and blessed year awaits. I saw this tag and thought to do it too because i love Christmas. Who doesn't?

1. What is your favorite Christmas film?
Home Alone
2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
No. I will one day..there is no snow in Zimbabwe or Malaysia.
3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
Umm for some time, i have been here. However, growing up we used to go to our rural home and spend it there. Those were the good times!
4. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Jingle Bells! It's easy and meaningful.
5. What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?
Fruit cake! Yum, my mum knows how to hook us up with a rich and delicious fruit cake. I can never get enough of them!
6. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
Receiving shawty! I love giving too but there is something about that cute sweater in your closet, from a loved one.
7. What makes the holidays special for you?
Being home. The plenty food and the traditional family outing to a close park or if that Christmas my mum is super jolly, going to a game reserve.
8. What’s your favorite makeup look for the festive season?
Wrong person. However, i love me some lipstick
9.  Real tree or fake tree?
Real. They have  a minty smell which makes any room cosy!

Till next time and oh, I'm tagging everyone to do this Christmas Tag!

I was one of those people who hate despise kitten heels. I had a principle that shoes should be high-heeled or flat,no in-between.
That changed when i came across these nuetral cuties. I can rock them with anything and i love versatility anyway. The navy dress needs no explanation, i just adore it's simplicity and chic zip detail.

Start. Just start.

Beloved 2015 is coming to an end. What a great year it has been, ups and down but those are the makings of life right? I am sure most people, including me had new year's resolutions. These never get out of style if i must say, such a cliche bunch of 'goals' that are honestly not met by lots of people.

2016 is coming and you do not have to wait for January 1st to start on something you have always wanted to do. I once read that if you procrastinate , chances are you are never going to do the thing, visit the place or meet your target. The secret to achieving set goals is to start immediately the idea pops up, else it will just be one of your tales you chat away with friends.

How can i start when i don't have the resources? That is often the biggest excuse we give ourselves whenever we are asked why we haven't done what we said we would do. This is an outright lie! There is no way after thinking of an idea, to have zero things you need to put your idea to fruition. You might not have the money but you have the support, the passion and people who you can ask for help from.
Someone who wants abs/ six pack ,toned arms and all that fitness, might dismiss the idea of working towards their dream body because they do not have money for gym membership. Excuse you, what about walking, eating well or using bottles of water as weights in your house?

You can have results for what you planned and worked on or excuses, you can not have both and that is the reason why you should start. Start where you are, with what you have, big or small. Just start.
Cheers to new beginnings..

I have no idea what transpires on Thanksgiving or the famous turkey-dinner either. I have looked around for hints but all i see are games, recipes, songs and the list goes on. In my head, this is the ideal outfit for Thanksgiving grocery shopping, fun chic and thankful. I love denim and the combination with white is awesome.
Happy Thanksgiving  everyone, i hope you always give thanks and not wait for the official day/ holiday, because you would have been running your life wrong! Yes, i said so.

Have you ever looked in your closet and that aha moment strikes? That very moment when you wonder how you've never thought of pairing different pieces sitting pretty all this while? Well, I had that moment when i found everything styled perfectly here. I just love how vibrant peach is, perfect outfit that can be dressed up or down.

You know how you want to be completely simple and comfortable but stylish, no heels involved? (sorry men, you might not relate). I was feeling that way on this day and had to look for the perfect colors. It occurred to me that i had created a look which most office workers rock most days. This bag is styled here too and since noone has the  energy to be in heels  365days 8 760 hours , here is  a simple but chic work outfit.  It's never that complicated.

I am clueless why I hated despised  lacey dresses growing up! My mum did not only dress us up (i have three beautiful sisters) the same, but she incorporated lace in almost all our outfits. If it was not a dress you had to be wearing colorful stockings with LACE! Stockings and shoes deserve a different post so I will rest my case.

Now that i'm older, i now appreciate many things my parents made me do or did for me and LACE is one of the things I now love. If only I had kept my childhood lacey dresses, my future kids would have gotten some vintage pieces, but oh well. (SIGH) What are some of the things you hated back then but you regret it now? Please share.
On this day, i paired my white lace with a blue tube skirt that i absolutely love. The heels finished up the look. I wore this to church but where else can I dress like this to? Help a sister out.

Hey there!I am sorry for missing in action, I've been studying for my exams and i'm finally done. God is good. As I was studying, you know how you take those five to ten minutes breaks in between studying? Well, while i was on one of those,it struck me that i ought to be grateful for the ability to spend nights reading..no one likes studying but did you know that it's a privilege to be busy? Now you know.

We tend to overlook the many and awesome blessings that are already in our lives and concentrate on complaining instead or  comparison. I talked about it here , check it out if you missed the discussion. Just like faith, hope or trust, gratitude requires practice! It is like a muscle that you consistently work out so that you can reap that toned body thus, you have to make it a habit to see the good in every situation and be grateful.

Gratitude is a passage for many good things to come into your life. It's ironic that a person can be leading a decent life, going out reasonable times, having food on the table each time they feel hungry and a place to sleep yet they are always grumpy. Is that not being selfish putting in mind that some people have less yet, genuinely happy? We ought to be grateful for the things we already have and the ones on the way.

I dislike people who when they receive a gift, scrutinize it (not in the giver's presence though) and might google how much the gift is worth! How rude. It is these kind of people who make the art of gift giving complicated and in turn have destroyed the spirit of random sharing of gifts and exercising gratitude. If you fall in this awful category, try to be thankful for once..it's absolutely free and it's the thought that matters anyway!

While on gratitude, i have a lot that i am grateful for and each morning i say a prayer of thanksgiving. What are you grateful for? If, for any reason you do  not have anything..be grateful for the breath of life and the fact that you have a phone, iPad, laptop or whatever device to be scrolling down my blog. On that note, I am truly grateful for you stopping by.
Happy new month! Someone told me it's called Yesvember!

Until next time

I have discovered that outfit inspiration comes from some of the awkwardest parts of the world! You can get inspired online, on the bus, from a magazine, newspaper, birds, flowers or from people you meet on your way to/from the mall. For what i wore here, i saw a lady on Instagram(i live there lol). She had a royal blue dress and she put in a white crisp blouse, just like how i did with my beige, I sure had fun recreating her look and i'm happy with my result. Life is like that, be inspired BUT don't copy.
